Thank you for your interest in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program at Owensboro Community and Technical College.  With the expansion of non-ionizing technology within the health care field, sonography promises to be an exciting and rewarding field for both men and women in a wide variety of age groups.  We welcome your interest in the program. 

This program will commence in the fall of 2008 with selection process in the spring of 2008.  Each application must be submitted to Joy Menser by March 1 of 2008.

The purpose of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program is to prepare qualified individuals who, by virtue of training in both theory and practice, are proficient in the areas of abdomen and obstetric/gynecological sonography. Sectional anatomy, ultrasonic instrumentation and imaging are the major components in this program. Skills are developed through clinical experiences using diagnostic ultrasonic imagery equipment.
