egional Geography of the World
3 credits

A geographical study of the world by regions with a focus on the world's physical and human landscapes.  Emphasis on how regions are connected to each other.  Also how each region is affected by, and affects, global issues such as economic restructuring, food production, and environmental change, with be examined.  Fulfills elementary certification requirement for Education and USP disciplinary social science requirement.

Weather and Climate
3 credits

A survey of the atmospheric controls associated with local, regional, and global weather and climate variability. Includes fundamental coverage of the physics and chemistry of energy, gases, pressure and moisture, with a goal of promoting understanding of general weather analysis and forecasting, severe storms, atmospheric pollution, descriptive climatology, and global climate change.

Prerequisites: GEO 130 or consent of instructor.
