| This program prepares
individuals for entry level positions in agencies and
institutions which provide social, community,
educational and mental health services. The curriculum
provides an opportunity for the student to develop the
knowledge and skills necessary for entry level
employment. Included in the curriculum is a core of
human services courses, general education courses, and
technical courses with a specific human services
emphasis. Application of human services principles and
skills is provided through a clinical experience in an
appropriate setting. Upon completion of the program the graduate is prepared to seek employment in various areas which may include child care facilities, mental health settings, chemical dependency settings, hospitals, educational institutions, correctional facilities, geriatric settings, child and youth centers, and social service agencies. |
