On a sheet of paper draw and label slides for the liver, gallbladder & pancreas

This lab is to allow you to become familiar with the location and anatomy organs and structures of the Accessory Organs of the Digestive System

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW FOR THE PRACTICAL:

Be able identify and know the function of:

Liver

Gallbladder

Pancreas

Hepatic Artery

Common bile duct

Pancreatic Duct

Hepatic Vein

 Cystic Duct

 Hepatopancreatic Ampulla

Hepatic Portal Vein

 Common Hepatic Duct

 

Know the number of Lobes of the liver: identify right, left

Know where the common bile duct empties

Know where the pancreatic duct empties

Histology: Draw and be able to identify the following structures:

(Use an extra piece of paper)

Liver

Pancreas

Gallbladder/Bile duct

Lobule

Isles of Langerhorn

Mucosa

Central vein

Acinar cells

Submucosa

Hepatocytes
