.... As student not seeking a degree, diploma, or certificate, you just need to complete an application (available on all campuses or call 686-4514 for one) and declare your status as "non-degree" (also called "non-credential").  Then you can register during the open registration period for the semester you plan to attend.  The date that open registration begins is published in the schedule of classes, and it is typically a week before classes start.

As a non-degree student, all course prerequisites still apply.  These prerequisites are published in the schedule of classes and in the KCTCS catalog.  You may use evidence of previous college coursework (for example, copies of transcripts, grade reports, or online records) or test scores (ACT, SAT) to demonstrate that you have met prerequisites.

If you are interested in receiving financial aid or would like to have an advisor assigned who is familiar with working with students with goals similar to your own, declare your intention to pursue a degree, diploma, or certificate by filling out a change of major form in the START Center on the Main Campus.
