Students who are placed on the waitlist for a class will receive an email during the evening indicating that they have been placed on the waitlist for course, class, session, term, and that they can view this waitlist order when they view their enrollment schedules. Please note that the waitlist function cannot automatically register you for 1) a class that is at the same time as a class already on your schedule since time conflicts are not permitted, 2) a different section of a course that is already on your schedule since multiple enrollments are not permitted, or 3) a class for which you do not meet the prerequisite requirement.

One communication will be sent regardless of the number of waitlisted classes for the 24-hour period. The student will receive an e-mail similar to this:

How do I go from the waitlist to being registered ?

An automated process will run nightly to move students from waitlist to class enrollment.  Then an email will be sent to students informing them that they are enrolled in the specific course, class, session, term, and that they should view their schedules to review their enrollment. The student will receive an email similar to this:

How can I check my status on the waitlist?

How many class waitlists can I be on?

Full-time students may select up to four classes to wait list for the fall or spring terms and up to three classes for the summer session.  Part-time students may chose two classes for the fall or spring terms and one class for the summer session.
 

What should I do to remove myself from the wait list?  

You should go on-line and drop the class as if you were dropping a regularly scheduled class.
 

When can I use the waitlist? 

This new feature will be available to students through the third day of the fall or spring semester and the second day of the summer session.
