|
Students who are placed on the waitlist for a class will receive an email during the evening indicating that they have been placed on the waitlist for course, class, session, term, and that they can view this waitlist order when they view their enrollment schedules. Please note that the waitlist function cannot automatically register you for 1) a class that is at the same time as a class already on your schedule since time conflicts are not permitted, 2) a different section of a course that is already on your schedule since multiple enrollments are not permitted, or 3) a class for which you do not meet the prerequisite requirement. One communication will be sent regardless of the number of waitlisted classes for the 24-hour period. The student will receive an e-mail similar to this: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Do NOT reply to this e-mail. This e-mail is generated automatically. You are on the waitlist for 105MASE 8701, Introductory Masonry, Class number 79843, Session 1, in Spring 2005. You may view your waitlisted classes and your priority for class entry on your schedule for the current term using your PeopleSoft access. You will be enrolled in this class as vacancies open. Your schedule will reflect all changes. Please check with your college’s student records office if you have questions or concerns.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An automated process will run nightly to move students from waitlist to class enrollment. Then an email will be sent to students informing them that they are enrolled in the specific course, class, session, term, and that they should view their schedules to review their enrollment. The student will receive an email similar to this: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Do NOT reply to this e-mail. This e-mail is generated
automatically. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Students can see their
position on the waitlist when they view their schedule online.
Full-time students may
select up to four classes to wait list for the fall or spring
terms and up to three classes for the summer session. Part-time
students may chose two classes for the fall or spring terms and one
class for the summer session. What should I do to remove myself from the wait list?
You should go
on-line and drop the class as if you were dropping a regularly
scheduled class. When can I use the waitlist? This new feature will be available to students through the third day of the fall or spring semester and the second day of the summer session. |
