Agriculture Technology is a field with growing opportunities. Today’s technology is fueling changes in this staple of the American landscape, including precision agriculture and related agribusinesses. At the same time, old-fashioned farming is a budding industry as more people shop for their food at farmers’ markets. Whether you’re interested in high-tech or low-tech farming, OCTC’s Agriculture Technology Program could be for you. The program provides graduates with a strong foundation that includes courses in farming theory, methods, animal science and more. You’ll find excellent instruction as well as plenty of hands-on activities.

    Employment Opportunities

    Graduates of the Agriculture Technology Program have many career options. In addition to traditional farming, job opportunities are growing in the high tech fields of precision agriculture and biotechnology. Agribusinesses include seed, fertilizer and equipment companies.     Length of Program

    You can earn an associate of applied science degree in two years if you maintain full-time status.

Agricultural Technology

The Agriculture Technology program is designed to prepare you for entry into the field of agriculture and related occupations. The curriculum will teach you the basics in theory, principles and techniques employed by the ag industry. You will be prepared to seek employment on commercial farms and business related to the agriculture industry.
