We have moved!  We are now located downstairs in the Campus Center building, across from the Counseling Center offices.

 

Welcome to our web site!  We hope this will be a great resource for our students.  We keep our job listings updated on a daily basis so check back often for any new information from the Career Resource & Placement Center.

In addition to Job Placement, we help students with career planning and decision making.  We have wonderful career resources including EDiscover, a licensed career website produced by ACT.  EDiscover is FREE to any and all of our students, faculty and staff.  You can research any college, career, and/or college major in the country on this website.  It also has interest, abilities and values inventories to help give you ideas as to what you might enjoy.  To use EDiscover, stop by our office and in about 5 minutes or so, we'll give you your own User ID and get you started.

The Career Resource and Placement Center is located on the lower level of the Campus Center.  We are located across the hall from the Counseling Center offices.

   

                                                                                     

We maintain job listings and keep them in a blue notebook in our Career Resource Center.  They are also on this website.  Just click on the "job listings" link and look at the most recent entries.

      My name is Katie Ballard and as the

 CRPC Coordinator I would like to

 welcome you to OCTC and encourage

 you to come by our Center.   For the past

twenty-two years I have worked with college students of all ages and have really enjoyed it.  I have a Master of

Arts in Education specializing in Student Personnel Services from Western Kentucky University.

The past twelve years I have concentrated on career counseling, advising, and job

placement.  I firmly believe that anyone can find something enjoyable that gives their

life more meaning.  That, to me, is the difference between a "job" and a "career". 

 

Please stop by anytime you have some questions and need some answers,

encouragement, coffee (!) or all of the above!  I will be glad to help.
